SoulWood embodies the pinnacle of luxury incense crafting, utilizing a meticulous, all-natural process that honors the ancient traditions of Chinese incense making. The entire production is committed to purity, using absolutely no synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, or binding agents.
1. Sourcing & Selection: Only the finest, sustainably harvested Aquilaria heartwood (Agarwood) and natural resin are sourced. This precious raw material is the sole foundation of our fragrance.
2. Cleaning & Preparation: The raw wood is meticulously cleaned and sorted by hand to remove any impurities, ensuring only the purest raw material proceeds.
3. Drying & Grinding: The cleaned wood is naturally air-dried to preserve its complex aroma profile. It is then gently ground into a very fine powder using traditional stone mills.
4. Blending & Binding: The agarwood powder is carefully blended with a small amount of pure, natural plant-based binder, such as extracted tragacanth gum or guar gum, and pure water to form a malleable dough.
5. Extrusion & Shaping: The fragrant dough is pressed through a traditional tool to form continuous strands of incense. These strands are hand-rolled to ensure perfect consistency.
6. Natural Drying: The shaped incense sticks are slowly air-dried in a controlled, shaded environment. This slow curing process allows the rich, woody scent to mature and stabilize naturally.
7. Aging & Packaging: Finally, the incense is aged for a period to deepen its aroma before being hand-packed into our elegant, sustainable packaging.
